Kaspersky Internet Security
Price: $
Kaspersky Internet Security is a software package from Kaspersky that bundles together all of the tools needed to keep you safe whilst browsing the Internet. While the standard anti-virus scanning tools are included in this software, the main focus is still on safety and security features specifically designed for your Internet browser.
It has essentially been designed from the ground up to keep all potential threats and privacy breaches away, and it does a great job at doing just that. It even includes a parental control feature that allows you to set up full control over what your children can or can't access whilst browsing the Internet.
When you install it, an extension for your browser will also be installed automatically, if applicable. By default, Kaspersky Internet Security will provide a number of safety benefits. For example, it can open more important pages, such as when you pay online, into a separate and more secure Kaspersky Protected Browser tab.
Kaspersky Internet Security can also stop websites and services from tracking your data. This kind of data would usually be used to showcase targeted ads to you, but with Kaspersky's help, this kind of data will not be shared with advertisers. A range of built-in threat protection tools are available too. For example, if you navigate to a potentially dangerous website, Kaspersky will block the connection and notify you. You'll then have the choice to continue or to back away from the website.
You can use the secure connection mode to add even more privacy to your browsing. The secure connection mode can connect you to a VPN and encrypt your browsing data. Any web browsing through the secure connection mode should remain 100% private. By default, the subscription will give you access to 200MB of data per day, so it's best to use the VPN for standard web browsing and not for viewing other media content such as videos. You can purchase more data for the VPN service if needed.
Despite all of these great tools, the interface is very simple to navigate. Thankfully, the performance footprint that it leaves is also very small.
